Post-Construction Cleaning in Prague: Checklist and Prices 2026

The office renovation is done — new walls, floors laid, electrics sorted. But construction dust has settled everywhere: in the air conditioning, behind radiators, on window sills, in every groove and joint. Standard cleaning is not sufficient. Post-construction cleaning is a specialist discipline requiring different equipment, different products and a different process.

Why Post-Construction Cleaning Is Not Just "A Bit More Dust"

Construction dust is different from regular household dust. It contains:

• Fine silicate particles from plasterboard and render — they penetrate the lungs and irritate the respiratory tract
• Cement and lime residues on the surface of floors, tiles and windows
• Adhesive and filler residues on floors and walls
• Metal filings and dust from drilling and cutting

A standard vacuum cleaner does not capture these particles — it disperses them into the air. A HEPA filter (H13 or H14) is required, which captures particles of 0.3 μm and smaller.

Post-Construction Office Cleaning Checklist

Phase 1: Rough Clean (immediately after building work)

• Removing building rubble and packaging materials
• Rough sweep and HEPA vacuum
• Mechanical removal of cement deposits from tiles and stonework
• Cleaning windows of masking film and stickers
• First wipe of all surfaces to remove dust

Phase 2: Fine Clean (24–48 hours after rough clean)

• Second HEPA vacuum — dust settles again after the first clean
• Wet wiping of all surfaces (walls, sills, furniture)
• Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms
• Polishing and cleaning floors by material type (vinyl, concrete, parquet)
• Window cleaning inside and outside
• Cleaning air conditioning grilles and ventilation openings
• Cleaning light fittings and electrical sockets

Optional: Specialist Work

• Extraction carpet cleaning
• Chemical cleaning of stonework and tiles
• Floor and stonework impregnation
• Facade cleaning (for external works)

Post-Construction Cleaning Prices in Prague 2026

• Office up to 100 m²: CZK 4,000–8,000 (both phases)
• 100–300 m²: CZK 8,000–18,000
• 300–700 m²: CZK 15,000–35,000
• Over 700 m²: Individual quote, typically CZK 45–65/m²

The price depends on the extent of building work, materials used and access for equipment. Bathroom and kitchen renovations are more demanding than a simple office repaint.
